It is best not to borrow money from the bank to purchase your equipment,
supply and inventory. Still, if you do not have working capital, use
business line of credit. Small business owners can get up to $100K in
insured working capital at low interest rate.
Sometimes suppliers cheat on invoices. It is wise to check invoices
against your purchase order. You can be overcharged. Often, suppliers
ship more quantity than you ordered -- therefore charge you more. Make
sure that supplier ship you only the quantity you ordered. This simple
check will keep your budget under control.
If you get non-conforming material or parts ( even small amount), ask
supplier about their return/ replacement policy. You should not pay for
rejects.
Claim your tax deductions. Claim all deductions you are eligible for.
Save all receipts.
Make good habits to pay your bills ontime. You will save money on late
fees and improve your credit rating. It will help you getting a loan
and low interest credit card in the future. Do not ignore an offer from
your supplier or service provider to pay less, if you pay your bill
before the due date. You can save a lot by paying your bills early.

Services. Find the provider, who offers unlimited local and long
distance calls for flat monthly fee. Make sure you will get caller ID,
call waiting and voice mail included in your phone service. For those
who travel, cell phone, calling card can save a lot of money on phone
bills. We use wireless phone for long distance calls. We love extras:
wireless Internet, text messages, voicemail, and camera-phone feature.
When leaving the office, turn lights of and turn your computers off.

Use e-mails instead of regular mail, whenever possible. Check your
postage meter -- errors possible. Avoid overnight and Express shipments.

account. Your local bank or Yellow Pages may not be the best choice.
